BLACKJACK-POKER-ROULETTE-SLOT
MACHINES
How to
play :
BLACKJACK:
BlackJack begins after the following ritual is
completed: the dealer shuffles the cards, the deck is "cut" by
a player using the marker card, and the dealer "burns" a card.
Before any cards are dealt, the players may make a wager by placing
the desired chips (value and number) into the betting box. Occasionally
a player may sit out a hand or two for various reasons.
The numerical values of the cards are: (10, J, Q, K)
= 10 ; (Ace) = 1 or 11 ; (other cards) = face value (3 = 3). Since
a casino can be very noisy, hand signals are usually the preferred
method of signalling hit, stand, etc.
The rules the dealer must play by are very simple. If the dealer's
hand is 16 or less, he/she must take a card. If the dealer's hand
is 17 or more, he/she must stand. Note that some casinos allow
the dealer to hit on soft 17 which gives the house a very small
additional advantage. The dealer's strategy is fixed and what you
and the other players have is immaterial to him/her as far as
hitting and standing is concerned. The player can do most anything
he/she wants as far as hitting and standing goes. Should a player
get a BlackJack (first 2 cards are an Ace and a ten) the payoff
is 150% more than the original bet ie, bet $10.00 and the payoff
is $15.00. Doubling down is restricted to 2-card hands, usually
totalling 9, 10, or 11 although some casinos allow doubling down
on any 2-card hand. If your first two cards provide you with the
appropriate total and your cards were dealt face down, turn them
over and put them on the dealer's side of the betting square.
If your first two cards provide you with the appropriate total
and your cards were dealt face up, point to them and say "double"
when the dealer prompts you for a card and simultaneously put
an equal amount of chips next to (not on top of) those already
in the betting box. The dealer will give you one more card only,
then he/she will move on to the next hand. If you have a pair
that you want to split and your cards are dealt face down, turn
them over and place them a few inches apart. If your cards were
dealt face up, point to your cards and say "split" when the dealer
prompts you for a card. The original bet will go with one card
and you will have to place an equal amount of chips in the betting
box near the other card. You are now playing two hands, each as
though they were regular hands with the exception being that if
you have just split two aces. In that case, you only get one card
which will hopefully be a 10. If it is a ten, that hand's total
is now 21 but the hand isn't considered a BlackJack. That is,
you are paid 1:1 and not 1:1.5 as for a natural (BlackJack). Combined
example of above two plays: Say you are dealt two fives. You split
them. The next card Top of Page is another 5 and you re-split
them. Three hands have grown out of one and you are now in for
three times your original bet. But wait. Say the next card is
a six. So one hand is a 5,6 which gives you eleven; another just
has a 5 and the other hand has a 5. You decide to double down
on the first hand. You are dealt a 7 giving 18 which you stand
on. Now a ten is dealt for the second hand and you decide to stay
at 15. The last hand is the lonely third 5, which is dealt a four
for a total of nine. You decide to double down and get an eight
giving that hand a total of 17. You started with a twenty dollar
bet and now you are in for a hundred! Better hope the dealer doesn't
end up with a hand more than 18 lest you lose a C-note. It was
dangerous to split two fives because you are replacing a hand
that is great for drawing on or doubling down on, by what will
probably be two poor hands. Insurance comes into play when the
dealer's up card is an Ace. At this point all the players have
two cards The dealer does not check his/her hole card before asking
the players if they want insurance, as the dealer can't give away
the value of the hole card if the dealer doesn't know what the
hole card is. If a player wants insurance, half the original amount
bet is placed on the semicircle labeled "insurance" which is printed
on the table. If the dealer has a BlackJack the player wins the
side bet (the insurance bet) but loses the original bet, thus
providing no net loss or gain since insurance pays 2 to 1. If
the dealer does not have a BlackJack, the side bet is lost and
the hand is played normally. If you are not counting cards, don't
bother with insurance. The proper Basic Strategy play is to decline.
The time to take insurance is when the number of non-tens to tens
drops below a 2 to 1 margin since insurance pays 2 to 1.

Poker Rules
Poker
uses a standard pack of playing cards, 52 cards (there are some
poker games that uses more or less depending on the variations such
as adding wild cards like jokers). The card ranking is as follows:
Ace (the highest), King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2
(the lowest), Ace (this may also be the lowest card depending on
the variations you are using, but it is usually the highest). There
are four suits (spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs). No suit is
higher than another. All poker hands contain five cards, the highest
hand wins. The use of Wild Cards depends on the variations, wild
cards take on whatever rank or suit you want it to take. A wild
card can either be a seperate card added like a joker or you may
specifiy a certain card in the standard deck to be wild like dueces,
or whatever else. The number of cards dealt is dependant on what
type of game you are playing: 5 card stud, you are dealt five cards
and 7 card stud, you are dealt seven. Five card draw is the standard
poker game where 5 cards are dealt to each player face down. Ranking
of the hands. Five of
a Kind -A five of a kind, only possible when using wild cards, is
the highest possible hand. If more than one hand has five of a kind,
the higher cards wins, five Aces will beat five kings, which beats
five queens, and continues on by the ranking of the cards.
Straight
Flush-A straight flush is the best natural hand. A straight flush
is a straight (5 cards in order, such as 7-8-9-10-J) that are all
of the same suit. As in a regular straight, you can have an ace
either high (A-K-Q-J-T) or low (A-2-3-4-5). You can not use the
Ace in a wraparound and example would be K-A-2-3-4, which is not
a straight.
An Ace high straight-flush is called a Royal Flush and
is the highest natural hand.
Four of a Kind- Four cards of the same
rank like four Aces or Four Kings. If there are two or more hands
that qualify, the hand with the higher-rank four of a kind wins.
Full House-A full house is a three of a kind and a pair,
such as K-K-K-2-2. When there are two full houses the tie is broken
by the three of a kind. An example would be J-J-J-5-5 would beat
9-9-9-A-A. If for some reason the three of a kind cannot determine
the winner then you go to the pair to decide (this would only happen
in a game with wild cards). An example of this would be K-K-K-A-A
would beat K-K-K-J-J. Flush-A flush is a hand where all of the cards
are the same suit, such as A-J-9-7-5, all of Diamonds. When flushes
ties, follow the rules for High Card. Straight-Five cards in rank
order, but not of the same suit (it can be any combination of the
four suits). An example of a straight is 2-3-4-5-6. The Ace can
either be high or low card, either A-2-3-4-5 or 10-J-Q-K-A. Wraparounds
are not allowed (an example being K-A-2-3-4). When two straights
tie, the highest straight wins, K-Q-J-10-9 would beat 5-4-3-2-A.
If two straights have the same value, AKQJT vs AKQJT, the pot is
split. Three of a Kind-Three cards of any rank with the remaining
cards not being a pair (that would be a full house if it were).
Once again the highest ranking three of a kind would win. K-K-K-2-4
would beat Q-Q-Q-2-3. If both are the same rank (only in a wild
card game), then the High Card rule come into effect with the remaining
two. Two Pair-Two distinct pairs of card and a 5th card. The highest
ranking pair wins ties. If both hands have the same high pair, the
second pair wins. If both hands have the same pairs, the high card
wins. Pair-One pair with three distinct cards. Highest ranking pair
wins. High card breaks ties.
High Card- When a hand has none of
the above qualications of any of the ones listed above, nobody hads
even a pair or better, then it comes down to who is holding the
highest ranking card. If there is a tie for the high card then the
next high card determines the pot, if that card is a tie than it
continues down till the third, fourth, and fifth card. The High
card is also used to break ties when the high hands both have the
same type of hand (pair, flush, straight, etc).

FRENCH ROULETTE
Roulette offers a wide variety of bets and betting options. The
process of roulette betting is not a complicated one, and fortunately,
unlike craps, you are given a good length of time at the table to
choose where you want to lay your money down. Two types of betting
you can practice at the wheel are called the outside bets and the
inside bets. You are required to play the table minimum at least
on each of your outside bets; on inside roulette betting the total
of all of your bets must meet or exceed the table minimum. This
bit of information is all you need to know in order to delve right
into some roulette betting action. Lets start by describing each
bet and how/where you play it. Roulette betting - outside bets The
outside bets on a roulette board are simply the bets that reside
'outside' of the main playing area of 38 numbers. There are no winning
outside bets for 0 or 00 results. Different types of outside bets:
Red or Black - you can choose to bet on the outcome either being
a red number, or a black number. Place this bet right in the area
with the words 'red' or 'black' in them, which should be easy to
reach from beside the table. This is a very common form of roulette
betting, as it is easy to understand that you have almost half a
chance of winning. People often make the bet making the incorrect
assumption that if 5 blacks were spun, there is a better than 50%
chance the sixth spin will be red. This is not logical and the reason
why is described in more detail on our roulette system page. This
bet is paid even money, meaning if you bet $5, you win $5.
Odd or
Even- similar to the red black bet, this even money bet is based
on whether the number will be odd or even. Since 0 does not count
as either, there are 36 numbers, an even count between odd and even.
Place this bet by putting your chips in the middle of the square
marked 'even' or the square marked 'odd', which will usually reside
on either side of the black / red betting area.
Low or high - this
bet lets you predict whether you think the next number to come up
will be part of the range from 1 to 18, or part of the range from
19 to 36. This is an even money bet. To place this bet put your
chips in the boxes with the associated number range printed in them.
Columns - at one end of the set of 38 numbers are boxes with the
words '2 to 1' written in them. Each box is part of a column of
numbers (if you extend a line up the body of the inside of the betting
area). If a number from within the column you are betting on comes
up you win, and are paid 2 to 1.
Dozens - a bet very similar to
the columns bet, dozens lets you place a bet on either the first
dozen numbers (1-12), the second dozen (13-24), or the third dozen
(25-36). To place this bet find the rectangular areas located in
between the first outside bets (red/black, odd/even, etc) and the
inside board spread. These will usually be labeled with the words
1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12. The bet pays 2 to 1.
More roulette betting - The inside bets The inside bets are made
up of specific numbers or combinations of numbers within the number
layout, or along the border of it. Remember, the total of all of
your bets must add up to at least the table minimum. Straight-up
bet - this is the simple roulette bet. Choosing any one of the 38
numbers and putting your chips down on that number will give you
a chance to win back at 35 to 1. Split bet - you can place a single
bet on two different numbers if those numbers are beside each other
on the table layout. To do so put your chips down on the line between
them. This bet pays 17 to 1 if either of those numbers comes up.
Street bet - This is a bet not unlike a split. It allows you to
bet on three different numbers with the same bet. You can do this
by placing chips on the outside of the row of numbers you want to
bet on. So if you want to bet on the numbers 1, 2, and 3 all at
once, put your chips down on the line that is the outside edge of
the 3. This bet pays 11 to 1. Corner bet - another combination wager,
the corner bet lets you bet on four adjoining numbers. Placing your
chips at the point where four numbers meet will indicate you want
a corner bet. This is sometimes referred to as a square bet. If
any of the four numbers come up, you're paid 8 to 1.
Fiver number
bet - There is only one five number bet available, and as such,
it's referred to as the five number bet. To make this bet place
your chips at the intersection of 0 and 1 on the corner (not the
corner that joins with two, but the other one). You can win if any
of 0, 00, 1, 2, or 3 are hit. You are paid 6 to 1. This is the worst
bet in all of roulette betting.
SLOT MACHINES
Slots are very easy to play. You simply decide how many credits
or coins/tokens you want to play and then simply press the spin
button. The maximum number of credits for slots varies from casino
to casino so please check. There are many types of slots machine
games with different winning combinations and pay outs. Check the
symbol combinations for each particular slot machines games. The
typical slot machine game has a 3 x 3 grid. Most slot machine games
only let you win when winning combination symbols line up horizontally.
Currently there are slot machine games that allow vertical and diagonal
winning combinations.
